daily sketch. working on characters from gush, there was a small sketchbook piece i had done to practice watercolors called wrong place wrong time. it involved gush trying to drink a milkshake while an angry witch tried to destroy gush and his happiness. this only results in her becoming exhausted and gush still trying to get his milkshake. the witch character, Mortaluna is focused on in one of the pages, the original sketchbook page from 08 and a page of just gush.
i have been working on some of my story line characters and redesigning them and thinking of revamping the storyline a bit. here are some of the pages from the last few days.

i liked the path of the redesign of my bat characters and spent a bit more time trying to build their characteristics. I like the characters and the look and feel i should keep moving forward with these guys.
I decided to take a bit of a detour today and work on an old comic character I have not touched in a year or so. Hal's Lucid Nation is another comic I have done a lot of personal work on and have an off and on blog for also. I wanted to work on some character figures that were not tiny as has been in the whimsical work. As stated before currently the daily sketch exercise is to focus on landscapes, water, clouds, other light sources in night scenarios. They are not a finished piece of art, more a concept to be refined, Just a generic scene with Hal, some puke and some onlookers.
